What They Didn't Teach Me In College

Andrea Freeman is the Policy Director at the Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts.

She writes, "I learn best by listening and watching, so I turn to the Resource Guide’s curated list of podcasts and videos. Each one leads me to others that help me better understand things I didn't learn at a liberal arts college in the early 1990s. My new favorite podcast is Inheriting, which blends sweeping history lessons with in-depth looks at how laws, wars, court decisions, natural disasters, etc. impact Asian American and Pacific Islander families through the generations. Hearing these stories helps me better understand a wide variety of cultures and just how unique everyone’s family histories and memories are."
