413Cares
413Cares.org is a free, easy-to-use online regional database of community resources available to residents in all four counties in Western Massachusetts. 413Cares.org aims to be a trusted source to find free and low-cost services, improve connection to needed services for individuals and organizations, and improve the health and well-being of individuals in our communities.
Our Role
In 2019 the Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts (PHIWM) led a process to choose a platform for an online community resource database to serve our area. A group of over 30 health and social service representatives chose the findhelp (formerly known as Aunt Bertha) platform. We publicly launched the local platform, branded as "413Cares," in March 2020. Since then, there has been a steady increase in engagement with and use of the platform. Check out current usage data.
PHIWM continues to manage the site, with support from an Advisory Board and funding from Baystate Health and the MA Department of Public Health.
